The second
annual Belmont Addition Fall Party was held on November 6, 2005. About 150
of our neighbors turned out for food and fun and to help raise money for the neighborhood. Activities included live music, brownie bake-off, chili cook-off, a raffle and silent auction,. For the kids, there was face painting,
caricatures and a bounce house.
| District 14 Councilperson Angela Hunt visited the party as well as Dallas Police Cheif David Kunkle and our local ICP reps Jan Easterling and Keith Allen. Its great to see our city officials taking an interest in our neighborhood. |
 |
| We had 8 entries in the Chili Cook-off. The winning chili
for the second year in a row was Philip Kingston's brisket recipe. For his effort Philip won the coverted pigtail corkscrew and the new prize, a flying pig statue.
Both prizes will be passed on to next year's winner. |

Ben Vincent did caricatures of kids and adults throughout the party.
Ben is quite a pro at this and everyone was amazed at his talent.
Thanks Ben!
|
| The Brownie Bake-off was a hit with 11 entries. Congrats to Sara Wick who took home first place for her dark chocolate brownies. |

 |
Hanna Schneiderman helped out with face painting for the
kiddos. Almost every kid that came out took home some of Hanna's artwork.
|
| The Bounce House (sponsored by Darren Dattalo of Abio AHK
Realty) was a big hit with the
kids. |
